BeefGoulashWithChiveDumplings 
Ingredients
- 500g Round or Chuck steak
 - 2 tbsp plain flour
 - 1/4 tsp paprika
 - 1 1/2 tsp thyme
 - 2 bay leaves
 - pepper, salt
 - 1 1/2 tsp basil
 - 1 clove garlic
 - 1 onion or leek
 - 1 can tinned tomato
 - 1 cup sour cream
 
 Chive dumplings
- 95g self-raising flour
 - 2 tbs finely chopped fresh chives
 - Pinch of salt
 - 40g chilled butter, cubed
 - 30ml (1/8 cup) cold water
 
 Method
- Sift the flour into a large bowl. 
 - Add the chives and season with salt.
 - Use your fingertips to rub butter into flour mixture until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.
 - Make a well in the centre and pour in the water. 
 - Use a round-bladed knife in a cutting motion to mix until evenly incorporated.
 - Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball
 - Coat the steak in flour, brown in fry pan
 - Add to slow cooker, with all ingredients except sour cream
 - Stir, cook on low for 6-8 hours
 - Add sour cream and dumplings 30 mins before serving
 - Serve with egg noodles
